Hope you are all keeping up with your New Year's resolutions (ha!) and cracking open the textbooks a tad earlier than last semester. If not, there's always Management Carnival (still 2 more days left!) for anyone interested in the debauchery. (You caught me... I'm not in English/Lit/Cultural Studies)

In 2007, our new club read The Interpreter of Maladies and One Hundred Years of Solitude. These inaugural sessions were very interesting, productive, and stimulating! We are looking forward to more exciting book discussions in the new year. Send your suggestions to undergradbookclub@gmail.com or comment on this post with your must-reads for 2008.

Our first book club meetings!

We have scheduled our first book club meetings!

We will be starting off with two great books and have already scheduled the dates to discuss our first reads!

1) The Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri - book club meeting to be held Saturday, Nov 24th at 8pm, location tba

2) One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - book club meeting to be held thurs, nov 29th at 7pm, location tba

We've selected our first few reads!

So this new blog site is up (and the old informational website at http://undergradbookclub.googlepages.com is up for the moment...eventually the information there will be migrated here). Hopefully this blog will act as an easy and convenient way for any member of the book club to contact others with info on books being read, book club meeting times and places, book-related events, etc...
